The final talk at the Kelowna downtown library was last night, Thursday, May 26th. Guest speaker was Lori Weidenhammer who has just published a wonderful new book, Victory Gardens for Bees: A DIY Guide to Saving the Bees. (See this link for more info: http://www.douglas-mcintyre.com/book/victory-gardens-for-bees )
This book is a distillation of so much of the information and knowledge that we have been given since The Pollinizing Sessions began in January 2016. Lori’s mentor is Brian Campbell, who gave one of the most popular talks we had.
If you missed any of the talks, we now have them all online so you can watch any that you missed. On this list of the lectures ( http://blogs.ubc.ca/theecoartincubator/the-pollinizing-sessions/ ) there is a link called “Watch it Here” beside each of the talks.
Keep in touch with us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/pollinatorpasture/ and on our webpages under the Eco Art Incubator: http://blogs.ubc.ca/theecoartincubator/public-art-pollinator-pasture/ as well as at http://borderfreebees.com/
We hope to see you this summer at the Kelowna Art Gallery and in the fall when The Pollinizing Sessions will revive to host Mark Winston, the author of Bee Time: Lessons from the Hive.
Best wishes and much gratitude, Nancy Holmes and the Pollinizing Session team: Christine McPhee (ORL), Megan Hunter, Asia Jong, Emily MacMillen and Fionncara MacEoin.
