Noel Kingsbury New ways with perennials.
A broader look at a variety of contemporary approaches to using perennials: naturalistic, modernist, the Oudolf look etc.

Noel Kingsbury has been professionally active in horticulture since 1986, but had been a keen gardener as a child. The story of his ‘bunking off’ school on Tuesday afternoons to visit the Chelsea Flower Show has become something of a legend. The whole field of ‘ecological planting design’ also drew him into working with the department of landscape at Sheffield University, a world centre for the integration of ecology, landscape and horticulture. In 2009 Noel was awarded a doctorate for his research on long-term perennial plant  at Sheffield University.

She is also a regular contributor and science editor for Master Gardener Magazine, a Washington-based quarterly publication that presents scientifically valid information to a popular gardening audience.

Linda Gilkeson: Root Diseases in the Vegetable Garden - Her NEW talk ( and why we need to know about this )

Linda earned a Ph.D. in Entomology from McGill University in 1986. Linda has co-authored pest management training manuals for the government and organic gardening books for Rodale Press. She has self-published three books, most recently Resilient Gardens 2016: Climate Change, Stress Disorders, Pest Update. Her comprehensive gardening book, Backyard Bounty: The Complete Guide to year-Round Organic Gardening in the Pacific Northwest, has become a BC best seller.
